Banana Cake with walnuts
Keeping within the family. I got this wonderful recipe from my aunt some years ago. I have already done the cake once, but than I totally forgot about it and just found the recipe these days cleaning and sorting my shelf in the kitchen.
The cake is really soooo delicious and above all you can also do a vegan version from it!
So here goes the recipe:
-2 cups of flour
-2 cups of cane sugar
-half cup of butter or oil
-1 Tbsp of baking powder
-5 bananas (very ripe) smashed
-walnuts how you like it
Mix everything together and let it about 40/50 min in the oven with 170/180° C.
Yesterday I only had 2 bananas at home, so I added some milk, so that the batter could get more liquid. You can also add almond milk (which I also do prefer, but I didn`t have any at home) and use oil instead of butter to go for a vegan version.
You can also put some cream cheese frosting or chocolate sauce over it, I just spread some icing sugar over it.
